The cables used for railway locomotives and vehicles are insulated with low smoke halogen-free flame-retardant cross-linked polyolefin. The product is mainly suitable for the transmission of electrical energy in railway locomotives and vehicles with AC rated voltage of 3kV and below, and has characteristics such as cold resistance, oil resistance, UV resistance, low smoke halogen-free, and high flame retardancy.

Usage Characteristics

1. The rated voltage U0/U of cables for railway rolling stock is 500V, 750V, 1kV, 1.5kV, and 3kV. The rated DC voltage is 1.5 times the rated AC voltage.

2. The long-term allowable working temperature of cables for railway locomotives and vehicles is: WDZ-DCYJ-125, and the WDZ-DCYJ/B-125 product is 125 ℃; The temperature of WDZ-DCYJ/B-150 product is 150 ℃.

3. Low ambient temperature for cable use: WDZ-DCYJ-125 products should not be lower than -40 ℃; WDZ-DCYJ/B-125 and WDZ-DCYJ/B-150 products should not be lower than -60 ℃.

4. Allowable bending radius for cable laying on railway locomotives and vehicles:

When the outer diameter (D) of the cable is 20mm or less, it should not be less than 3D.

When the outer diameter (D) of the cable is greater than 20mm, it should not be less than 5D.

5. WDZ-DCYJ-125 cable can be used in oil contaminated environments; WDZ-DCYJ/B-125 and WDZ-DCYJ/B-150 cables are allowed to be used in harsh environments with various types of grease pollution and non high concentrations of acid and alkali pollution.

Main Technical Characteristics of Cables for Railway Locomotives and Vehicles

1. The DC resistance of finished cable conductors shall comply with the relevant provisions of GB/T 3956-1983.

2. Insulation resistance at 20 ℃: The rated voltage of 3kV WDZ-DCYJ-125, WDZ-DCYJ/B-125, and WDZ-DCYJ/B-150 cables should not be less than 1010 Ω. km

3. The finished cable undergoes the following AC voltage test without breakdown:

4. Gas release test during combustion of WDZ-DCYJ-125, WDZ-DCYJ/B-125, and WDZ-DCYJ/B-150 cables: total halogen gas 5mg/g; PH value ≥ 4.3; Conductivity ≤ 10 μ S/mm.

5. WDZ-DCYJ-125, WDZ-DCYJ/B-125, and WDZ-DCYJ/B-150 cables shall all pass the single vertical combustion test specified in GB/T 18380.1-2001.
