I. History
1. Shanghai - the birthplace of cable industry in China
Shanghai is the cradle of Chinese industry, also the cradle of China's wire and cable industry. Since the development of China industry, the Chinese wire and cable industry, developed from nothing, from small & weak to large & strong, which is closely related to the development of wire and cable industry in Shanghai. The history of Nanyang Cable is the historical epitome of the development of Shanghai and China's national industry.
In 1930's - Nanyang Hydropower Project Firm was born (in 1931). After World War II, the civil war, the founding of new China, the cultural revolution...as well as the reform and opening-up, Nanyang Group went through tens of years of ups and downs, which condensed fate of the country and national industry ...
2. Creation and evolution of Nanyang
Shanghai production of wire and cable industry began from the 1930s, in this period, Shi Xianglin founded Nanyang Hydropower Project Firm(the predecessor of Nanyang Cable) in Jiande Village, Xuzhen Road, Xujiahui, and began to make a few small cross section civil wires, wherein the annual output is more than 30km.
Founded Nanyang Hydropower Project Firm(the predecessor of Nanyang Cable)
Moved to No.165, Yude Road, and developed and produced cabtyre cable, mining cable, Yilian wire factory, Huali wire factory and Zaofeng wire factory.
Renamed as Nanyang Cable Factory.
Developed flat type elevator cable, flame retardant cable, car HV ignition wire, ethylene-propylene insulation marine cable and other products.
Consecutively developed and put into production of CEH, CEV, CVV series marine cables, CEF/SA bundle flame retardant marine cable.
Nanyang Cable Group was founded.
Be designated as the products supplier of Shanghai World Expo.
Completion of building and putting into operation of Nanyang Cable Group industrial park.
Built new headquarters building of Nanyang Cable Group.
To be combined as the 100% subsidiary of Nanyang Cable Group.
To be judged as one of Top 20 Cable Manufacturers in China
Nanyang Cable developed successfully high-end double-layer irradiated LSOH decoration cable with a working life of 70 years.
